The Farmworkers Advancement Program is designed for individuals seeking certified training along with additional support and services to help advance their careers in the agricultural sector.

Available Courses:

Agricultural Systems | Welding | Office Clerk | Auto Body Mechanic | Forklift Operation | Teacher’s Aide

Eligibility:

  • Have worked in the agriculture sector or be a dependent of someone who has worked in agriculture in the past 12 months.
  • 18 years or older.
  • Reside in Fresno, Kings, Tulare, Kern, Madera, or Merced counties.

 

Program Benefits:

  • Paid training/tuition for courses like forklift operation and paraprofessional certification.
  • Supportive services including transportation assistance, coverage for additional books/materials, and an incentive upon course completion.
  • Employment assistance with job applications, interview preparation, and job retention support.

Program Funding:
This Farmworkers Advancement Grant Program is fully funded by a grant award totaling $447,652.42 (100%) from the U.S. Department of Labor.
